One houseguest leaves; another comes back. Yes, it’s that time of year when we get all those lovely twists like the Jury Battle Back that leave you wondering how the hell they’re going to finish this season in less than a month when there’s still eight people left in the game. Even though every member in the jury is a number against Level Six, it’s not like it’s going to make that much of a difference. But at least someone gets a very miniscule shot at grabbing that $500,000 prize. In addition, we have Faysal FINALLY realizing how much of an idiot he’s been in this game, a gross veto competition, and the demise of a twist that should have been way more interesting than it ended up being. We’ve got a lot to cover before our returning houseguest returns, so let’s get to it!
“My HOH was absolutely brilliant.” -Faysal. I would like to know what you are on right now, and whatever it is, can I have some?
Sam keeps hoarding tokens without using them. So apparently she was in my camp of not understanding how this comp works?
Sam just keeps handing out tokens to everyone. Someone please tell her how a competition–or this game–works.
Angela is the new HOH. As if basically having power for the last two weeks despite the other side of the house having “control” wasn’t enough.
Haleigh walks into Level Six celebrating the HOH. Whoops, that shiny new alliance you made was never going to happen in the first place. Sorry about that.
Angela considers putting Sam up because it’s the least amount of blood on her hands. And seriously, I’m so surprised Sam lasted this long in the game? She hasn’t done much, but I guess everyone wants to keep the person who actually cleans the house for a little while longer.
Haleigh talks to Angela and basically offers herself up as a pawn. Good lord, is Faysal’s gameplay rubbing off on you? What are your choices?
Haleigh’s starting to realize Faysal is a big macho mess. And honestly, I can’t believe it took her this long, because if I can’t stand him for the three hours a week I have to watch him, I can only imagine what it would be like to be stuck in the same house with him 24/7.
The hardest of passes on JC’s food segment. This is so gross. Those moist chewing noises were 100% the decision of the audio post-production team, and I would like to personally thank each and every one of them for turning one of my passions against me.
“You smell like a baby and it’s nice.” -Tyler to Angela. This…this is supposed to be a line? This just feels super awkward.
Tyler and Angela are a thing now I guess. Guys, what happened to showmances like Jeff and Jordan? Because I was actually interested in those.
JC and Brett try to convince Angela to put Fessy and Haleigh up. Which I thought was going to be what she did anyway, but okay.
Angela nominates Haleigh and Faysal for eviction. Because no shit.
“I didn’t see this one coming at all.” I just can’t with you, Faysal. Can we please crowdfund a live stream of whenever he watches this season back? Because I want to be there for that.
“I should have listened to you. I shouldn’t have put Scottie up.” -Faysal to Haleigh. Okay, cool, thanks for realizing that a week too late.
Haleigh: “We can’t sit next to each other.” Faysal: “It would be kind of romantic if we do.” Yeah, because screw staying in the game together for another week if it makes a good story?
“If I leave, you’re next.” -Faysal to JC. I mean, he finally has got a point, there’s literally no loyalty to JC on the Level Six side, so if it’s not next week, then it’s not too long after that.
You have to catch “Vetonium” to win the the veto comp. Who is the person who keeps having to come up with “fun” names for balls, and how much are you getting paid?
The slow-mo for the first round of this is so disgusting. AND you have to use your mouth to catch the third round of balls. WHO CAME UP WITH THIS VETO COMPETITION? ALL OF THIS IS GROSS. What did I ever do to you except love you, Big Brother?
Almost no one catches anything during the first round. At some point, you have to wonder whether the competition creators got to a point where they were like, “Let’s just fuck with them a little bit.”
Kaycee wins the veto BY ONE POINT. I mean, some veto results are close but when you’re on the block and you lose by that close of a margin to the other side of the house…ouch.
Faysal is pissed at Haleigh for not isolating herself from the rest of the house on their last week together. Because god forbid she actually plays the game and tries to survive this week…
Brett comforts Haleigh on the hammock. And I can just see Faysal’s face in my mind…
Kaycee doesn’t use the veto. Because, again, no shit.
Tyler’s power app expires. So the only power app that was used was Sam’s, and that was only by default. That twist was kind of a dud, no?
Tyler has a final two deal with half the house. You know who else played a similar game? Paul. And look what happened there. Twice.
Fessy uses his last plea speech to try to tank Angela’s game. Guys…at this point, this happens so often, everyone HAS to know that it’s bullshit, right?
Faysal is evicted from the house. I would say he played a good game, but…you know…I don’t want to lie.
Julie tells Faysal that it’s Battle Back night, and I’m guessing he wishes he didn’t just shit talk Angela during his last plea speech.
First glimpse of the jury house! Seriously, where is the camera feed that goes to this place, because once some of Level Six gets in there, you know it’s going to get good.
They recap OTEV to catch Bayleigh up on Rockstar’s week, and JESUS GOD, I DON’T WANT TO WATCH THIS AGAIN, WHAT THE HELL.
“I can’t wait until you see this nightmare.” Scottie obviously has some opinions about his eviction. I also share those opinions.
Faysal immediately apologizes to Scottie when he comes out for the Battle Back comp. Because he fucking should.
Scottie wins Battle Back and goes back into the Big Brother house. That should have easily been Faysal’s game. I am so pleasantly surprised, and glad he gets another chance, since he didn’t deserve to even be nominated last week.
What did you think of Angela’s second HOH reign? Now that he’s back in the house, will Scottie last longer than next week? Let’s chat in the comments.
