Normally, we’d compose a list of several reasons to appreciate our Most Handsome Young Man winner. But between the Feelies and this poll, we’ve written so much about Television’s Noah Wyle this year, we’re in danger of running out of ways to praise him…except not, because he is ev-er-y-thing.
Thanks to your votes, Noah came out on top, though NYC’s mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani gave him a run for his money. Considering the content of our site and how we’ve chosen to spend our lives however, it’s only right that a ’90s Must-See TV heartthrob turned elder statesman of the medium win. It’s like we created him in a lab! Millennials and Gen-Xers, come get your man.
The Pitt is a revelation, and Noah isn’t just the face of it — he’s also one of the driving forces behind it. Paying homage to the frontline healthcare workers who go through it each and every day, this medical drama is also somehow one of the most fun-to-watch and satisfying shows on television. And, as we’ve established, Noah knows from TV doctors. There’s something super attractive about accepting and celebrating your pop culture niche.
Noah’s young co-stars have stated, for the record, that they’d trust him to actually treat them, and at this point, so would we. But let’s not let this man’s professional grasp of medical jargon overshadow that he is an ACTOR. (And writer. And director.) He’s a veteran of the industry, he supports his colleagues, and he looks great in a FIGS tux. – Sage
In all of years of running this website, we’ve never had a man take home both a Feelie and the Most Handsome Young Man title in the same calendar year. (Sleepy Hollow‘s Tom Mison came close, winning MHYM in 2013 and then taking home the first ever Feelie for Best Actor in a Drama the following year.) It feels fitting that this significant honor should go to, as Sage so eloquently put it in our nominees post, a generation spanning crush like Noah Wyle. Like good scotch or fancy cheese that’s stored in ancient Italian caves, Noah just gets better the older he gets, the crow’s feet and the smile lines and the slightly receding hairline and the graying beard making him all the more hotter.
Or, we all just have Daddy issues. Who’s to say? Maybe it’s both.
Ultimately, I think what makes Noah so handsome is the confidence he projects. As elder millenials start to move into (gulp) middle age, it’s truly inspiring to witness the apparent ease Noah has with himself now that he’s in his fifties. This is a man who knows what it’s like to be one of the stars of television’s number one show and he knows what it’s like to work on niche TNT genre shows that the general public pays very little attention to. The Pitt marks Noah’s second ascent to the peak of his field and it’s clear that he is not taking the moment for granted.
He may be a bit bewildered by all the love and the thirst edits, but that just makes him handsomer. Gratitude and humility oozes from his every pore. He’s a wife guy, but not in an obnoxious and disingenuous way. Noah lifts up those who are around him – the way he lit up seeing his long-working costars Katherine LaNasa and Shawn Hatosy get their deserved flowers says everything you need to know about him. The way he shows up for the younger actors of The Pitt is truly heartwarming and paving the way for them to become the next generation of TV Royalty. Plus, with season two of The Pitt due to start in January, he’s not going to leave US hanging in television purgatory. Really, we couldn’t ask for a better guy to carry the mantle of Most Handsome Young Man into 2026. – Kim
