Hello and welcome to Harry Styles Live On Tour Week at Head Over Feels! As Harry’s 60-date tour started winding down last month, we realized that one post simply wasn’t going to cut it. Two posts? Simply not going to cut it. So every day this week, we’ll have a new post for you covering one of our favorite things: Harry Styles’ style.
The Treat People With Kindness tour contained multitudes, but we just don’t have the womanpower to cover everything in depth, like Harry’s music or the way his presence can fill an entire arena. He can keep an audience of that size engaged for his whole show, while still managing to connect with fans on a very personal level, and it’s inspiring to see in person or via frantically refreshing Tumblr.
But I would love to at least mention the $1.2 million generated in donations to local charities in every tour location. And the orange ribbon he wore in honor of the lives lost in the Parkland school shooting at his show in Sunrise, Florida.
And the guitar he progressively covered with more and more progressive stickers as the tour went on, and the Black Lives Matters flags that he made sure to showcase on the concert screens and took from fans to wave. Oh, and if I’m going to mention flags, I have to mention the rainbow flags. So many rainbow flags, including the transgender, bisexual, and lesbian pride flags.
The fashion is something we can cover in depth, though, and, by god, we will for the next five days. First up? Basic black. For someone who seems to have an endless supply of colorful suits, many of them in bold and interesting prints, Harry wore more black than I originally thought during this tour. Black is an evergreen fashion staple, but it can be a challenge too – it can hew boring or flat, especially from afar, which are two words I’m sure Harry doesn’t want as verdicts on his lewks.
A couple of notes before we dive in: Bear with me, I’m not going to talk a lot about the fit of his suits – I think between personal preference and logistics, the majority of them are just going to look a little big on him. It is what it is. And there may or may not be a few black outfits that you’ll see more of later in the week, so they’re covered sparingly in or left out of this post – stay tuned!
Okay, let’s see how Harry did in basic black. Onto the suits!
Basel, Switzerland: Gucci
Sparkle, Harry, sparkle! For his first tour date, Harry simply gleamed in this Gucci.
Head to toe! Can you believe?
And it’s even better in motion. I mean, maybe not his dance moves, but the glittery black fabric for sure. I really like the shape of the lapels (which you’ll see repeated a lot) and the self-tie blouse. The one thing I don’t like is the rhinestones lining the lapels; I like the idea of them, but these specific ones look a little cheap, no?
Mannheim, Germany: Charles Jeffrey
I am obsessed with this look.
I love the proportions, those flowy pants! And look at the shape this jacket pinned closed gives him. The safety pin is a gorgeous accent; I don’t think either Harry or the designer has ascribed meaning to it, but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn it was worn symbolically.
The white boots really complete the look for me. Oh, did you want to see the jacket open?
How perfect a complement is the tank top to this suit?
Thank you, Harry, yes we did want to see the lining. (Our hearts have been captured by a total stage hoe, guys.)
I have to say, this is quite the glow up from when he first started out.
Tokyo: Charles Jeffrey
Your eyes don’t deceive you, this is indeed the same suit but in a different fabric.
Right down to the lining and safety pin.
Harry is feelin’ it and so am I. As much as I love this look in black, I have to say that the pinstripe adds visual interest. But why pick one when you can have both?
Atlanta: Calvin Klein
Ohhhh look at this satin finish! I remember being underwhelmed at the time, but looking back at photos and video from this show, I really like this ensemble.
Really, I’m kinda into it, this formal trackies look with stripes on the legs. (Another look at those hot boots!)
I can’t help it, I’m a raccoon, I’m attracted to shiny things.
He’s just so good at knowing when to bust out a tank top, I can’t.
Philadelphia: Gucci
If you’ve read any of my red carpet posts, you know how into black and white I am. I love the bold contrast of a good black and white look and Harry really delivered in Philly.
What I’m learning about myself writing this post is how much I love a stripe detail on the pants.
I’ll admit, I’m not always the biggest fan of the high-waisted pants/cropped jacket combo that we’ll be seeing a lot of throughout the week, but this one works so well for me. I don’t know what it is exactly about this jacket; I just love this cut in white paired with the black pants and blouse. This whole look got me like:
Boston: Harris Reed
Hot. As. Hell.
True story, I emailed myself the link for this photo with the subject line, “the only photo from Boston that matters.” But also, we’ll be seeing more of Harris Reed’s looks this week, so I’ll leave it at this for now.
No, but really, this look is so hot.
LA 2: Gucci
Excuse me, may I have your attention?
God, look at these details. The only reason this Gucci that Harry closed his tour with didn’t crack the top 20 is because he wowed us in a pink version at one of his London shows first.
That’s all, folks.
All in all, more basic black than expected, right? Which looks do you love? Do you have a fave? Are you ready for four more days of Harry tour looks? Let us know in the comments!

The Harris Reed black on black is my #1 favorite. The look, the fit, the SEXY! Unreal. Then the LA black is #2. I don’t love Charles Jeffrey though (please don’t hate me) and the CK was still a bit dull compared to all the others.

I do feel like we can’t properly appreciate the Harris Reed looks because they started with Amsterdam which was just SO MUCH but honestly this black on black is amazinggg. Charles Jeffrey is probably love or hate, no in between, so I get that! And the CK wasn’t dull it was shiny sorry I had to!!!

I had *just* changed my phone background to the “dick pic, but make it fashion” yesterday. It is now the Boston Harris Reed, thanks to this post. I have a feeling I will be changing it every day this week. Bless you.
